Questions: why join a book club?

Post  Admin on Mon Aug 25, 2008 5:17 am

[1]Why do I want to join a book club, what do I expect to get out of it?

[2]What kinds of books would I like to read?

[3]What is the cost limits to books? (paper backs only?)

    [4]When should we meet?

[5]Who will lead book discussions? The person who recommended the book?

These are my thoughts:
[1]I enjoy a good read; I think its a good way to expand my knowledge base; I came up with the idea Very Happy

[2]I am open to most books, except self help books no chicken soup and purpose driven life. This is just a preference, I am not saying I won't ever read the.

[3]Books will probably not be EC $24.95 but I do not expect to spend my grocery bill either. Let's notforget Amazon.com!

[4]I expect online discussion. These discussion can be on the books as well as current issues. I would also like the members of the club in Grenada to meet about once per month.

[5]On the topic of who will lead, discussions online are free form, post when you have something to say. For meetings, I don't know, I am open to your suggestions.

Anything missed? What do you say?
